New journal

Friday 1-21-11

I love starting a new journal. I don't know what it is about a whole, blank journal just waiting to be filled up, but I love it. And by journal I mean a quiet time journal not a diary haha. I made myself finish off my old journal before starting this new one, because I would be somewhat ADD and jump to new ones all the time if I could. I love writing what God is teaching me, songs that I love, and my prayers. I journal my prayers for 2 reasons. 1: it keeps me focused. Anytime I just try to pray in my head I get all sidetracked and before I know it, its 10 minutes later and I have made a grocery list and freaked out about my work, but have not prayed at all. So I write instead. 2: I get to keep them and look back and see how God has answered my prayers. It was really cool last year to read back through my journal and see where I had prayed that I would have a good roommate and that Brynne and I would get along and be good friends, and guess what? We are!

But anyway, here is my new journal and the 50 pound ESV study Bible that Brent gave me for Christmas.
