About Me

In case any of you don't actually know me and would like to know a little about who I am:

I am a college student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am a tar heel. I love UNC a lot. I have really great friends here and love the things that I am studying. My major is Elementary Education. If you can't tell by the blog, I love children a lot. I spend a good deal of my time with children. This blog started because I wanted to document my sophomore year here at UNC by taking a picture every day. Soon, I realized that I like writing a bit more than taking pictures, although I do like that, too.

I am passionate about 3 things- Jesus, India, and orphans. Thankfully, those 3 things fit together nicely!

A lot of what I write about is based off of the things that I have learned in my walk with the Lord and in my time spent overseas at an orphanage in India. The short time that I have been able to spend with the wonderful children in India has completely changed me. It has given me a passion and a love for a whole new group of people, specifically children.

I believe that God wants us to share his heart and his passion for caring for the fatherless, the widows, and the outcasts. This looks differently for each person, but we all share in that same responsibility.

This blog is a random conglomeration of my memories and experiences in India with my daily life here in America. As I begin my senior year at UNC, I hope to post more about my life as I begin teaching and prepare to move to India.

My desire is to cherish every day that God has given me and the place where he has put me for the time. I typically fail at this, but I am asking God to give me a trusting and content heart.

I hope that you enjoy reading my random thoughts, they reflect an even more random life!
